The Senior IBOR Business Analyst will report to the VP, Director of Program Management and will be a key member of the IBOR team.   The objective of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) program is to integrate an outsourced Portfolio Accounting System along with a core set of middle office services and to establish an in-house, real-time, central repository of transactions and history across eight Investment teams.  The program has about a dozen primary sub-projects and a number of smaller secondary sub-projects.  This multi-year initiative was launched late 2013 and will proceed over the next 24-30 months.
 
This position requisition is to provide a 6-12 month, full time contractor, a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for the gap analysis.

Documenting the shortfall between service capability and service requirement for each of the in-scope functions;
 
Work with team members to map out and document business requirements
Translate business requirements into functional specifications
Develop and execute testing procedures
Work with development group to ensure that all design questions (e.g., application security, data feeds, etc.) are addressed through the business analysis process
Support project tracking and monitoring
Manage low complexity projects (e.g., non-political, data/workflow oriented)
Serve as subject matter, process, and/or operational proxy for end users in area of focus
Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements
Take on other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and experience required:
  • Experience with fund accounting and or significant experience with application integration of systems throughout the middle and back office of traditional asset management firms
  • Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience documenting requirements and workflows 
We are currently assisting a large financial services client to implement MarkitEDM and are looking for strong business analysts with experience implementing MarkitEDM.  

Location: Boston, MA

Skills and Experience needed:
  • 5-10 years of experience implementing enterprise data management initiatives preferably within Investment Management firms.
  • Prior experience with MarkitEDM executing data projects, preferably within an Enterprise Data Strategy Program.
  • Strong securities master experience preferred
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to manage scope, drive issues to resolution, and to quickly and independently assess items that require escalation.
We are helping a large financial services firm implement a new performance measurement and attribution system. Our client requires additional expertise to supplement its existing team.  The ideal Project / Implementation manager will have strong project management expertise and proven success implementing performance measurement and or risk applications.

Location: NY, CA, MA

Skills and Experience needed:
  • Experience with performance (or risk) leading end-to-end implementations of performance measurement and attribution systems such as (FactSet, StatPro, Vestek, Thomson Periscope, Eagle Perform, BI-SAM).
  • Experience consulting preferred
  • Project Management Professional certification preferred but not required
We are helping a large financial services firm implement a new performance measurement and attribution system.  Our client requires additional expertise to supplement its existing team. The business analyst will be responsible for supporting the project manager to identify and document the business requirements and support the project from analysis through testing.  The ideal candidate will have strong performance measurement and analysis skills, proven experience implementing performance measurement applications and strong fixed income and devatives expertise.

We are currently assisting a large midwestern asset management firm support their data management initiatives.  Our client is looking for a strong Business Systems Analyst to support integration of Eagle Pace within this program.  Knowledge and expereience working with Eagle Pace is required as are strong SQL skills.  The consultant needs to be comfortable writing SQL scripts and querying a database, understand data structures, experienced working in investment operations and knows the business

We have multiple client needs and are looking to hire multiple Client Reporting Project Managers to assist with the implementation of a new client reporting solution. 

Location: Multiple including Boston, NY and mid-west

Skills and Experience needed:
  • Strong Project Management Expertise
  • Experience with Vermilion Reporting Suite or Simcorp Coric (fka: Equipos) ideal but other comparable Client Reporting systems are acceptable 
  • Report design and report development (stored procedures, macros) focused on client reporting needs.

We are currently assisting an Asset Manager to find a Project Manager with CRD experience. The Project Manager will manage the upgrade of CRD from version 8 to version 9. Experience implementing or managing a migration of CRD, is required.

·         Hands on experience with CRD
·         Project Management experience.
·         Ability to manage all aspects of an upgrade: especially, working on validation of functionality and data from old version to new, along with heavy user interaction.
·         Bachelor’s Degree

We are currently assisting a large client with a migration of portfolio compliance tools.  The first phase of this project is to support the data analysis and mapping from prospectuses, Investment Management Agreements with the current system and to build the rules and data requirements for the new compliance system.  We are seeking individuals who have experience supporting these types of migrations with disparate skill sets.  If you are an individual with strong compliance experience analyzing and supporting business requirements for portfolio compliance, have supported the data analysis and rules creation or have deep expertise with the technical implementation of portfolio compliance tools we want to speak with you. 

Required Experience:

·         5+ years’ experience in investment management portfolio compliance.
·         Prior experience working with proprietary or 3rd party compliance tools
·         Bachelor’s Degree.
