The Senior IBOR Business Analyst will report to the VP, Director of Program Management and will be a key member of the IBOR team.   The objective of the Investment Book of Record (IBOR) program is to integrate an outsourced Portfolio Accounting System along with a core set of middle office services and to establish an in-house, real-time, central repository of transactions and history across eight Investment teams.  The program has about a dozen primary sub-projects and a number of smaller secondary sub-projects.  This multi-year initiative was launched late 2013 and will proceed over the next 24-30 months.
This position requisition is to provide a 6-12 month, full time contractor, a Senior Business Analyst who will be responsible for the gap analysis.

Documenting the shortfall between service capability and service requirement for each of the in-scope functions;
Work with team members to map out and document business requirements
Translate business requirements into functional specifications
Develop and execute testing procedures
Work with development group to ensure that all design questions (e.g., application security, data feeds, etc.) are addressed through the business analysis process
Support project tracking and monitoring
Manage low complexity projects (e.g., non-political, data/workflow oriented)
Serve as subject matter, process, and/or operational proxy for end users in area of focus
Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements
Take on other responsibilities as assigned

Skills and experience required:
  • Experience with fund accounting and or significant experience with application integration of systems throughout the middle and back office of traditional asset management firms
  • Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience documenting requirements and workflows

Skills and Experience needed:
  • 5-10 years of experience implementing enterprise data management initiatives preferably within Investment Management firms.
  • Prior experience with MarkitEDM executing data projects, preferably within an Enterprise Data Strategy Program.
  • Strong securities master experience preferred

Our large Financial Services client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst in their retirement recordkeepign business with experience in Operational change and business consolidation.  The person will be and aligned with a program manager, supporting the consolidation of recordkeeping platforms. We need someone with deep retirement experience and process flow experience (present state to future state). The ideal candidate will be someone who has supported client onboarding and the implementation or replacement of recordkeeping platforms.

A large investment management firm requires an experienced Performance and Attribution analyst for a long-term assignment.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 – 15+ years of hands on experience in this space.  Analyst will be required to support business analysis, complex calculations resolution, as well as research and resolve data discrepancies.

The Retirement Services division of a large Financial Services client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst / Project manager to assist in the requirements gathering, implementation and user testing around the integratio of their business with the broader sales CRM and related sales tools.  The ideal candidate will have experience within the retirement industry supporting Sales and Marketing Applications, CRM software packages and website portals.

We are assisting a large financial services client in finding a strong Reference Data Business Analyst to join their Data Infrastructure Team.  The analyst will be a key contributor in the transition from their legacy Security Master application to Markit EDM.  We are looking for multiple positions.  Key responsibilities include providing business analysis for development of the MarkitEDM application for reference data and pricing, workflow and business requirement documentation, define and execute Quality Assurance and User Acceptance tests.
Skills and Experience:
Experience with security master data (security reference, derived, fundamental and analytic data) and workflows       associated with maintaining the data
Strong Business analysis experience throughout a project lifecycle, preferably in the financial services environment.  As this is more of a Business Systems Analyst role, the candidate needs to have experience gathering requirements and working in a project oriented environment versus an operational role
Degree in Finance, Information Science or related discipline.  Advanced degree or related professional certification preferred.  Progress towards a CFA is a plus
Advanced knowledge of tools and techniques for presenting and analyzing data including: SQL, Access, Excel, relational databases and data marts
Proven relationship with leading data vendors (e.g.; Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, IDC)
Experience with solutions for managing reference data (Markit EDM (a.k.a Cadis), Golden Source, Eagle)

Our large Financial Services client is looking for an experienced project manager to support a cash management project.  Project Manager will work with the Application Manager to oversee project states of the SDLC for multiple, large-scale, cross functional projects including; leading project teams (BA, SQA, Engineering); establishing/maintaining project schedules and budgets; overseeing the completion of deliverables/milestones; prioritization of actions.  The Project Manager will be an individual contributor and reports directly to the Application Manager.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of related professional financial services and project management experience.  Candidates without this background will not be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in technology, finance business or equivalent, MBA or CFA a plus
PMP Certification and/or Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
Proven experience implementing financial systems using formal Project Management methodologies and tools
High level of proficiency in MS Office, including Project, EXCEL, Work, PowerPoint and Visio
